What QUADRO retains
The core strategic drafting loop is intact:
- Attention drafting. Five attention nodes holding four tokens each. You take every token of one color from one source, and unattended tokens spill into the central buffer for the next move.
- Context lines. Tokens are aligned on staging rows of one to five before crystallizing into permanent memory. A row only settles when fully filled, and can only hold one color at a time.
- A 5×5 memory grid. Each crystallized token scores for the horizontal and vertical clusters it joins, meaning tokens placed adjacent to existing memory nodes multiply in value.
- Hallucination penalties. Tokens you take but cannot hold in active context cause hallucinations and negative score penalties. Overdrafting is penalized, making defensive hate-drafts a crucial tactical weapon.
- Endgame bonuses for completed horizontal memory rows, complete columns, and all five frequencies of a color.
